Role

McChrystal Group’s CrossLead Analysts support the firm’s People, Knowledge, and Time lines of effort to align leadership, prioritize goals, and increase the speed and effectiveness of decision-making for our clients. The CrossLead Way is rooted in the team’s collective experience, which allows us to help organizations grow, innovate and create lasting value in any operating environment.

The CrossLead Analyst will work extensively at client sites, as well as at McChrystal Group headquarters in Alexandria, VA.  Reporting to a seasoned engagement manager, the Analyst will be responsible for helping the team cultivate progressive leadership competencies with the client’s senior executives.  The role will require the Analyst to take ownership of a variety of delegated tasks, and responsibilities will include both implementation and administrative efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support McChrystal Group’s consulting practice and the Project Lead by helping the engagement team partner with the client’s stakeholders to effectively layer CrossLead practices into communication and management processes
  • Participate in the development and delivery of transformational training programs and leadership initiatives, which will include project work, assisting in the facilitation of processes and management of deadlines, and helping ensure superior execution for the client
  • Understand the structure and strategy of client engagements and perform appropriate research and analysis as required
  • Assist in the creation of high-quality deliverables and presentations using analytical, planning and tactical decision-making skills
  • Develop exceptional working relationships with the client, where appropriate, and help McChrystal Group be a seamless extension of their team
  • Help coordinate events, logistics and materials for client engagements
  • Document processes to ensure McChrystal Group leadership and other MG client engagement teams leverage knowledge and success, as well as suggest ways to continually measure and improve effectiveness
  • Contribute to the client engagement and to McChrystal Group as a whole by using personal insight and experience
  • Focus on personal growth and continual improvement
  • Further the growth of McChrystal Group through recruiting activity, work in the community, participation in industry events and the support of new business proposals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in the private sector a plus

CrossLead Marketing Lead Role Description

Role

The Marketing Lead’s primary objective will be to enhance and position CrossLead as the foremost leadership and management system of the 21st Century.

The Marketing Lead will be based in Alexandria and be the steward of McChrystal Group’s premier brand internally and externally. This position will oversee communications and PR efforts, and will partner closely with both the CEO and business development team to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the firm’s marketing, branding and public relations efforts at the strategic and tactical levels, which will include strategic planning, creating, implementing and measuring the success of:
  • Design and manage the appearance of all print and electronic materials (website, brochures, traditional/social media, letterhead, etc.) as well as the look/efficiency of MG’s physical workspace
  • Drive social media strategy across multiple channels
  • Oversee programs and resources to assist all of McChrystal Group’s lines of effort in the communication of their activities, and provide counsel to specific consulting engagements as necessary
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies for marketing programs and manage the planning and budgeting of all initiatives, including the sourcing/management of all vendors
  • Cultivate and ensure regular contact with appropriate and strategic external relationships for inclusion in conferences, events and sponsorships
  • Craft, execute and measure direct mail/email campaigns
  • Structure means for regular input and feedback from McChrystal Group executives and key constituents with respect to the quality and effectiveness of marketing/communication efforts
  • Stay abreast of competitive landscape and developments in the marketplace generally, to help MG both operate and innovate
  • Embrace and exemplify the principles of CrossLead

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in an Advertising, Marketing or Public Relations role
  • Demonstrated experience and success in Brand Management, Marketing Strategy Execution and Public Relations Activities; ownership/oversight of an entire brand a plus
  • Exceptional creative, strategic and analytical skills
  • History of managing budgets, developing support staff and cultivating/managing vendor relationships
  • Expertise in the design and production of print and digital materials, as well as the execution of social media strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at a time
  • Assiduous problem-solver with the ability to adapt to changing priorities or multiple iterations of work
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distill often complex business, market dynamics and thought leadership issues into compelling and audience-tailored communications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Media training and crisis communications experience
  • B2B communications experience in a corporate or agency setting
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related discipline preferred
  • Proficiency with OSX, Windows, Keynote, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
