Meet Afiba

Afiba Edwards is the Chief Information Officer at McChrystal Group, where he oversees Technology and Innovation and leads our digital transformation and enablement initiatives.

Before joining McChrystal Group, Afiba spent 18 years working in the private sector in various information technology (IT) leadership positions. Most recently, Afiba served as the Lead Programmer for the National Capital. In this role, he oversaw secure conferencing and automation for numerous U.S. government agencies, including the Social Security Administration, Federal Bureau of investigation, Department of Commerce, and Executive Office of the President.

Afiba and the Enterprise Solutions Team at McChrystal Group leverage technology as an enabler for change management in organizations across many industries, including the private and government sector. They utilize proprietary data science, Team of Teams leadership models, and unique IT structures to facilitate cross functional and sustainable digital transformation.

The Enterprise Solutions Team, under the leadership of Afiba, has improved state-level emergency management agency's ability to response and mitigate crisis. They have developed systems to facilitate strategic alignment, increase employee engagement, and drive common purpose in a variety of Fortune 100 companies. They have created systems to reduce wait times for lifesaving medical and sustenance support for a state health agency and broke down communication silos in a benefits department to improve customer service and employee collaboration.

Afiba is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, CISCO Certified Network Associate, Crestron Certified Programmer, and an expert in ITIL Foundation, LonTalk, and BACnet. He also pursued performing arts at the State University of New York and studied Computer programming and administration at the University of Maryland University College.
