John Uberti is a Senior Principal at McChrystal Group, advising a global healthcare company on transformational change and leadership.
John has extensive strategic leadership, management, planning, and operations experience and has successfully led change in a number of large organizations. Prior to joining McChrystal Group, John served in the United States Army for 34 years, retiring at the rank of Major General. His diverse Army career included experiences in conventional, special operations, strategic and institutional units and he had multiple operational and combat deployments. In his final position, he was the Deputy Commanding General for III Corps and Fort Hood, serving as second in command of the Army’s largest combat formation and second largest Army post. Previously, he was the Chief of Staff for US Strategic Command, the command responsible for global command and control of the Nation’s nuclear, space, cyberspace and missile defense forces.
John’s service also included duty in Afghanistan as the Chief of Plans for the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, where he led a multi-national cross-functional plans team responsible for developing operational plans for security, governance, and development across a 37-nation coalition.
He received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy and his Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies at the US Naval War College.
