Kosh Sadat is a Principal at McChrystal Group, where he advises a financial services client on organizational adaptability and leadership.
Kosh has extensive leadership and management experience gained from working with diverse multinational military and government in Afghanistan. Kosh served for 13 years in the Afghan Special Operations Force, finishing as a Lieutenant Colonel. He commanded some of the country’s elite counter-terrorism units, building the organization’s capacity to respond to growing high-profile terrorist incidents. His final position was Advisor to the Director General of the National Directorate of Security focusing on integrating Intelligence and Strike Forces. He also spent a year and half as the Afghan Aide de Camp to the Commander of International Security Assistance Forces Afghanistan (ISAF), serving under General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal during his tenure as Commander.
Kosh has completed leadership training at some of the world’s elite military schools. He is an honor graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, United Kingdom, and holds a master’s degree from the United States Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He also graduated from US Army Ranger school. He has received a number of honors and awards, to include the Overseas Sword of Honor from Sandhurst and the Meritorious Service Medal from the US Army.
