Lenore Karafa is a Partner at McChrystal Group, overseeing clients in both the healthcare and financial services sectors. Lenore's experience includes engagements in a regional healthcare system, globally dispersed quantitative hedge fund, post-merger assessment at a technology manufacturer, and in private equity where she advised investment and operating professionals on improving performance and leadership in portfolio companies.
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, Lenore worked in financial services at both one of the world’s largest banks and at a small, highly dynamic organization. She spent three years at Bank of America in their Debt Capital Markets Group; she also had a brief stint at a successful venture-backed startup. During her time at Bank of America, Lenore was the recipient of the Bank of America Global Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Lenore graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 2000. She was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, serving on active duty for seven years in various positions, including as a Warfighting Instructor at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, and as a team leader in Iraq. In addition to these leadership posts, Lenore has been honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
After leaving the Marine Corps in 2007, Lenore received her Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
