Rich Daum is a Partner at McChrystal Group, where he leads an engagement in the financial services industry. Rich is an expert on strategy formation and translating strategy into execution in fast-paced environments.
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, Rich served in the US Army for 29 years and retired at the rank of Colonel. A combat veteran, he commanded attack helicopter and aviation task forces in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. Additionally, Rich worked as an operational and strategic planner, earning extensive experience as a senior staff planner at the national and international level. He was the Chief of Global Force Management on the Joint Staff during the force surges into Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as during humanitarian operations in Haiti and Japan and offensive operations in Libya.
Rich received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Science in Strategy from the National Defense University.
