Meet Jake
Jake Ahearn is an Associate on the Implementation Team, where he helps clients bring strategy to life through effective execution. He specializes in supporting large-scale initiatives, with a focus on forum design and implementation. In this role, he works closely with client teams to drive alignment, coordinate planning, and ensure that forums serve as a powerful tool for collaboration and decision-making.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I worked as a federal government consultant, advising clients within the FedRAMP PMO in the General Services Administration. Before consulting, I worked at a think tank as a liaison between the organization and its Board of Directors and International Advisory Board.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
I joined McChrystal Group because I recognized the value of Team of Teams as a foundation for both commercial and government consulting. It provides a proven framework to help deliver success that I hadn't had in previous experiences.
What are your favorite books (besides Team of Teams!)?
Surprise, Kill, Vanish by Annie Jacobsen is my favorite book that I've read in recent memory. She explores the CIA's secret paramilitary units and their covert operations throughout history. Going back a few years, The Street Lawyer by John Grisham was my favorite book for a while, and it almost convinced me to pursue a career in law, had it not been for the additional years of schooling required.
