Dena Roten
Dena Roten is a Senior Advisor at McChyrstal Group. She has served as a Fortune 50 Senior Banking Executive with nearly four decades of experience leading comprehensive strategy, design, and execution. She has a proven track record in all aspects of the consumer business model, including organizational design and talent development, operational risk management, sales and process management, operations and retail distribution. Adept at building and managing high-performing cross-functional teams, Dena's passion is in helping leaders unlock the full potential of their organizations.
In her 12 years at Citibank, Dena had multiple leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer for the US Personal Banking business and US Branch Network head. In these roles, she managed more than 5600 employees and helped navigate the organization through unprecedented business model changes, such as the pandemic and the digitization of banking services.
Prior to that, Dena spent 25 years at Bank of America in leadership roles ranging from Branch and Retail Operations to Human Resources, Credit Card distribution and the Merrill Lynch acquisition. She was also selected as one of the first Change Catalysts for the innovative 'Project New BAC' initiative launched by then-new CEO, Brian Moynihan. She enjoys serving as a catalyst for change and is especially driven to help organizations foster a culture that inspires "winning with friends".
Dena lives in Charlotte, NC and is a mother of three. She is also a long-time advocate of underserved women and children in her community, having founded two non-profit organizations and serving as a Guardian ad litem (GAL). Her hobbies include outdoor activities such as running half marathons, paddleboarding, and riding her Kawasaki motorcycle cross-country alongside three generations of her family.
