Meet Fernando
Fernando Ortiz is a Senior Associate on the Implementation team where he partners with clients to drive strategic alignment and operational clarity. He currently supports a global energy organization navigating strong growth alongside complex internal and external stakeholder dynamics, helping them translate vision into execution and future readiness.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I spent my career in public service and campaigns. Most recently, I served at the U.S. Department of Labor as liaison to the private sector, ensuring both agency leadership and industry stakeholders understand the impact of new regulatory and policy changes on businesses and their workers. I also worked closely with federal lawmakers and state, local, and Tribal governments to translate workforce policies into actionable guidance, ensuring alignment across diverse constituencies and levels of government. I recently earned my MBA from Georgetown University with a focus on Sustainable Business.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
I joined McChrystal Group to help organizations solve complex challenges through alignment, trust, and most importantly, by empowering their people. An organization's workers are its center of gravity, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help people and teams operate with intention, resilience, and a shared sense of purpose.
What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?
I love playing and watching tennis with friends, cooking, and reading near a large body of water.
