Meet Harrison

As an Analyst on the Implementation Team at McChrystal Group, Harrison supports client engagements through research, analysis, presentation development, and logistical coordination. His role depends on strong critical thinking, initiative, and relationship-building skills while applying McChrystal Group’s methodologies. Harrison contributes to client-facing projects, internal initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts in McChrystal Group's unique consulting environment.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I worked with Chesterfield County Public Schools and the Virginia Department of Health while completing my graduate studies in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Through these experiences, I developed strong adaptability and communication skills by working with middle school students while also contributing to the complex process of after-action reporting and analysis related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

I joined McChrystal Group because of its dedication to helping organizations navigate and achieve positive transformation. The opportunity to work alongside colleagues with a wide range of professional backgrounds in an environment that exemplifies the Team of Teams approach has been particularly rewarding. Being able to share and implement these principles with our clients makes the work even more meaningful.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time snowboarding or indulging my hidden talent of playing one of the five instruments I have learned. 

Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?

I feel strongly about leaders and teams because I have witnessed strong teams operate under strategies directly influenced and implemented by the Team of Teams model.

What are your favorite books?

Some of my favorite books include Project Hail Mary, Daisy Jones & The Six, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
