Meet Thomas
Thomas Ward is an Analyst on the Implementation Team at McChrystal Group, supporting the development and delivery of high-impact client presentations and materials across various industries. In his role, Thomas works on proposals, manages project timelines and financials, and ensures our teams stay aligned on priorities and key deliverables. He also works across multiple lines of effort, contributing to task execution, tracking project updates, and helping the team stay on schedule.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Before joining McChrystal Group, I earned my B.S. in American Politics from West Point and was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. After my service, I joined the West Point Association of Graduates as a Leadership Gift Officer in the DC Metro area, working as a liaison and fundraiser for the Academy.
WhY did you JOIN McChrystal Group?
When considering how I wanted to begin my civilian career, I knew I wanted to be part of a high-performing team and do something that improves people's lives. Upon reading General McChrystal's book, On Character, and learning about McChrystal Group, I knew this organization exceeded the criteria I set.
What ARE YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?
My favorite books include And There Was Light by Jon Meacham, When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi, and Shoe Dog: A Memoir by Phil Knight, creator of Nike.
