Sophia Tompkins is an Associate on the Implementation Team, where she plays a key role in driving successful project execution from contract initiation through final delivery. She supports client engagement, manages project workflows, and ensures cross-functional collaboration—helping teams stay aligned and clients stay confident.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I worked in the nonprofit industry. Serving first in the nonprofit bipartisan advocacy space and then joining the nonprofit consulting world to be exposed to even more organizations and missions.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
I joined McChrystal Group not only because of the power of the Team of Team framework, but the knowledge, expertise, and leadership of the people implementing it. I believe what truly sets McChrystal Group apart is the team they've built both internally and with clients.
Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?
I'm passionate about leaders and teams because I believe they make all the difference. Ideas are just that until the right people put them into action. They are the foundation to any organization and nothing can operate well without both.
What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, I love to teach yoga and take my dog, Reese, on plenty of walks. I also love to play soccer, tennis, basketball, kickball, or just about any other activity that keeps me active.
